An empty rifle magazine cartridge and a kitchen knife were found in a Joliet West bathroom on Friday. According to a post on West’s ParentSquare page:

We are contacting you to keep the lines of communication open regarding student safety. Today at West Campus a kitchen knife and an empty magazine rifle cartridge were found in a bathroom. There were no students or staff in danger at any time. The student who brought these items to school was immediately identified, the Joliet Police Department was contacted, and we are following our school discipline policies and procedures.…
