Georgia man taken into custody after early-morning standoff in Batavia

BATAVIA, Ill. — A Georgia man was taken into custody on Friday after he was allegedly involved in a brief standoff with police in the western suburbs.

Batavia police said it all started just after 1:30 a.m. when officers responded to a call about two female victims and multiple children who were reportedly being held against their will in an apartment in the 1200 block of East Wilson Street.
