Hinsdale firefighters check their gear before preparing to fight a truck fire on the Tri-State Tollway Friday afternoon. The truck was located just south of Ogden Avenue in the southbound lanes near the eastbound exit ramp. Traffic was stopped for about an hour in the two local lanes, but traffic on the tollway was tied up for several hours once the fire was out and crews were called to remove the tractor and trailer. The driver, who attempted to put out the fire earlier with a hand-held extinguisher was not injured. Firefighters from Oak Brook were also on the scene to assist Hinsdale with the call.
