Plano police chief thanks city for support after officer-involved shooting review

Plano Chief of Police Norm Allison is thanking city officials for their support during the investigation into an officer-involved shooting that took place last September.

A Plano officer and a Kendall County deputy shot and killed a suspect in a murder investigation following a chase that began in Plano and ended in Aurora. The suspect, identified as Nicholas Novak, exited his vehicle with a shotgun and pointed it at the officers before they opened fire out of concern for their own safety and the safety of others.
