Oak Park police arrested a man last week in connection to a violent domestic incident in which the man reportedly choked the victim after attacking them with a knife, according to police activity reports.
Police arrested the 33-year-old man shortly before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 on charges of aggravated domestic battery in connection with the incident in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard. The man had reportedly held a blade to the victim’s throat “in efforts to force the victim to have sexual relations,” according to the police report.
The victim escaped and called Oak Park police, according to the report. The felony charges against him were dropped after the victim “declined to cooperate,” but the man was charged with misdemeanor offense and held until his bond hearing, according to police…
