Dwight Police Department Arrested Man Who Has Four Prior Convictions For Domestic Battery

A man with history of domestic battery convictions was arrested by the Dwight Police Department on May 27th. Percy Robinson, 61, of Joliet was charged in Livingston County with two counts of Domestic Battery, both class two felonies.

The Dwight Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of West Williams Street for a domestic dispute. Investigators say Robinson is accused of beating a female acquaintance at the aforementioned address on May 27th. Williams remains detained in the Livingston County Jail. Will County court records show Robinson was convicted of a misdemeanor domestic battery in 2019.

He also received two years of conditional discharge and 116 days in the Will County Jail on a felony domestic battery charge from Will County in 2023. Livingston County court records show Robinson has at least four prior convictions for domestic battery. If convicted on the class two felonies in Livington County, Robinson is looking at anywhere from three to seven years in prison…
