Aurora Township, IL – A 31-year-old Aurora man was injured during an armed robbery Monday evening in Aurora Township that involved gunfire and multiple suspects fleeing the scene.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 6:36 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Konen Avenue. Authorities responded to a report of an armed robbery involving three individuals who allegedly approached a red Mitsubishi Outlander, demanded money and a cell phone, and fired a weapon during the confrontation.
The victim, identified as Mickey Stewart of the 500 block of Gladstone Avenue in Aurora, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg. He was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and later released, according to sheriff’s deputies…
