When I was growing up, there was a public pool right across the street from my house. I pretty much spent all summer there. It was so much fun and great memories. To my friends and me, it was the best way to spend our time when there was no school.
Back in those days, there wasn’t a lot of trouble at the public pool. Kids could go there and have a good time. When I drive by one of the pools here in Rockford and there’s a bunch of kids having fun, it puts a smile on my face. Especially because the children are outside, along with being active.
Unfortunately, not all kids nowadays want to have a good time. Many just want to cause trouble, and many times, there aren’t consequences for their actions. The parents let them do whatever they want. That leads to incidents like this one in Illinois.
