CHICAGO (WGN) — A man who spent nearly three decades in prison for a murder he did not commit is suing Chicago police and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office over his wrongful conviction.
For years, Jerry Herrington says he hoped he could relay his story and hold those who framed him accountable.
“I’m just thankful to God for allowing me to be here and tell my story,” said Jerry Harrington on Tuesday, July 29, at a press conference announcing the lawsuit.
