Naperville, IL – A two-story residential home in Naperville sustained an estimated $100,000 in damages after a structure fire Tuesday night in the 1000 block of Frances Court.
According to Naperville Fire Department officials, the Emergency Communications Center received a call at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday reporting smoke coming from the roof of the building. A general alarm assignment was immediately dispatched, bringing three engines, two ladder trucks, a heavy rescue squad, two medic units, and two battalion commanders to the scene.
By 8:30 p.m., Engine 3 arrived and located heavy smoke on the first floor of the home. Firefighters encountered flames on both the first and second floors, worsened by a large hole that had burned through the second floor due to the intensity of the blaze.
