Popular West Coast sandwich chain expanding to Chicago with 2 locations

Mendocino Farms, a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its fresh sandwiches and salads, has revealed plans to enter the Chicago market.

In a page on its website, the California-based chain announced it’s opening a location in Chicago’s River North neighborhood in late August and a second restaurant inside Willis Tower in the winter.

“Hello Neighbor! Welcome to your new happy place,” a message on its website read, in part. “…We first opened our doors in 2005 as a family business with a vision to offer much more than great food — 20 years, 75+ locations and a few million awesome meals later, we’re bringing our EAT HAPPY vibes to Chicago.”…
