The Kendall County Health Department announced they will begin accepting applications October 1st for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in Kendall and Grundy counties. The program helps income-eligible households with natural gas, propane, and electric bills, as well as furnace repairs. Priority will be given to elderly, individuals with disabilities, families with children under six, households facing utility disconnection or propane supply.
All other eligible households may apply starting November 1st. Applications will be accepted on a first-come basis through August 15, 2026, or until funds are depleted. Income limits are based on state median income and household size. More details are available at liheapillinois.com or call…..
