Carpentersville, IL – Two suspects have been arrested following a gang-related shooting that left three people injured in Carpentersville this week.
According to the Village of Carpentersville Public Safety Department, detectives executed a search warrant Friday in the 1500 block of Pawnee Road, resulting in the arrests of 21-year-old Rafael Ruiz Jr. of Aurora and a 17-year-old male from Carpentersville. Authorities allege both men were involved in a recent shooting tied to street gang activity.
Police said Ruiz faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a street gang member, and multiple outstanding warrants.
