Man draws second life sentence for killing cellmate

MOUNT STERLING — A former Western Illinois Correctional Center inmate has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty in Brown County of killing his cellmate.

Joshua Miner, 37, nicknamed the Hickory Street Killer after killing two men in Joliet in 2013, already was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole stemming from those deaths. Helped by three other men, Miner lured the two men into a house and robbed and strangled them.
