In a disturbing breach of privacy, a suburban man has been accused of secretly filming patrons at a Naperville gym. Erick Palacios, 47, from Bolingbrook, is facing eleven felony counts of unauthorized video recording, with charges linked to every individual identified in the recordings. According to WGN-TV, these charges stem from hidden cameras discovered in the bathrooms of Title Boxing Club on Plainfield-Naperville Road.
Police were alerted to the situation on March 22 after an employee reported finding the concealed devices. The subsequent investigation by Naperville police quickly focused on Palacios, who was also a member of the gym. A search warrant executed at the suspect’s residence reportedly turned up electronic devices holding videos and photographs that had been surreptitiously taken between January and March of this year.
