CHICAGO — As Bam Bam the dachshund sat in a Niles animal hospital waiting room for a Friday checkup, his celebrity status was clear: Every staff member patted his head as they passed, happy to see him healthy.
“Honestly, he looks remarkable considering we don’t know what happened to him for the last two months, so we’re all just so happy he’s OK,” said Jamie Abete, Bam Bam’s veterinarian at Niles Animal Hospital.
