KENOSHA, Wis. (WLIP)— A Chicago man was sentenced Thursday to 95 years in prison for attempting to kill his longtime partner by setting her on fire while four children were present in a Kenosha County home.
Myron Faith Bowie, 38, was convicted in July of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, mayhem and multiple counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Judge Gerad T. Dougvillo handed down the sentence, which includes 70 years of initial confinement and 25 years of extended supervision. Bowie, who is 38, will remain in prison until he is about 108 years old.
Deputies responded to a 911 call on July 30, 2023, after Bowie doused the victim with rubbing alcohol and lit her on fire. Before fleeing, prosecutors said, he threatened to kill everyone in the house. The victim survived the attack…
