CHICAGO (WBBM/CNN Newsource/WKRC) – Four women accused a repeat offender of assault in just one year, but he keeps being released. The victims voiced their concerns over the lack of consequences for the suspect who was arrested 20 times in nearly half as many years.
Anne Kurze told reporters she could never forget the face of the man that assaulted her in a seemingly random act of violence in her neighborhood in Lincoln Park while she was walking to the dentist in June.
“His eyes, his face, they’re seared into my memory,” Kurze said. “He came towards me, he stood about this far from me and punched me and then kept walking north up the street.”
Kurze was able to pick the man who attacked her out of a police lineup, identifying him as 32-year-old William Livingston. She believed that would be the end of it, and that Livingston would land behind bars. That expectation made her all the more surprised when she saw her alleged attacker’s face on the news in late August for another assault…
