The City of Joliet Office of Emergency & Disaster Management is notifying residents that tornado sirens across the city will undergo scheduled maintenance and testing on Thursday, September 11; Friday, September 12; and Monday, September 15, 2025.
During these dates, sirens will sound briefly as part of the testing process. Residents are advised that this is only a test and not an indication of an actual emergency. No severe weather is forecast during this time; however, if severe weather does occur, the testing will be rescheduled.
