This is the kind of thing that would make me want to hide underneath a bed for a week. On August 16 in Montgomery, Illinois, a massive piece of metal from a power line came crashing through the roof of a house. Maggie Green may have summed up the experience by saying, “It sliced through my house like a circular saw blade,” and you know what, she’s not exaggerating or overstating. Just one look at the damage, it’s a minor miracle there were no deaths.
