On Thursday afternoon, Chicago Animal Control contacted the Trio Animal Foundation (TAF) about a dog named Koogie discovered in critical condition. Koogie’s owner had experienced a medical emergency. The woman had been trapped behind a door in her apartment for 11 days, and when a wellness check was performed by the Chicago Fire Department, they found Koogie’s owner in critical condition.
Without access to her heart and diabetes medication during the time she was trapped, the woman was rushed to the hospital and remains in the intensive care unit also fighting for her life…
