Leo High School’s all-boys choir is giving Chicago something to be proud about. After being featured on the NBC hit show “AGT”, aka “America’s Got Talent”, the choir has now advanced to the semi-finals after singing the song “Centuries” by the Fall Out Boys. The high energy that they bring to all the chart-topping songs they perform has made the choir a ground favorite.
This South Side all-boys catholic school choir started getting notoriety from social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook. Their posted videos featured their covers of popular songs they performed across the city at locations such as Navy Pier, at the Chicago White Sox’s stadium, Rate Field, and even on the day-time talk show “The Jennifer Hudson Show”. While all the members are gifted with singing ability, they could’ve gotten this far without the help of choir director LaDonna Hill, lovingly referred to as Mrs.Hill.
Hill has been directing Leo’s choir for 19 years. Before she was directing there, she studied at Chicago State University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Arts and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies…
