Cook County police: Loaded gun found in Chicago felon’s car

CHICAGO A 40-year-old Chicago man was arrested earlier this month in River North after the Cook County Sheriff’s Office says a loaded gun was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

What we know:

Sheriff’s police said officers pulled over a white Kia around 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the 100 block of West Chicago Avenue because it had expired tags.
