‘Truly a team effort’: Aurora officers rescue kitten trapped behind gas station ice machine

AURORA, Ill. — A kitten is looking for a new home this week after officers in the western suburbs pulled him to safety after he found himself stuck between an ice machine and a hard place.

According to police, the rescue unfolded outside of an Amstar gas station located near Hill Avenue and Summit Avenue, in Aurora.

While it is unclear exactly when the rescue took place, Aurora police shared details about it in a social media post shared Friday morning.
