Residents of Roseland in Chicago’s 5th District are on high alert after a string of armed robberies, as announced by the Chicago Police Department. According to the community alert, a series of incidents have occurred where victims were approached by a lone male armed with a handgun and robbed of their personal belongings.
The suspect is to decisively aim for residents in the early morning or late evening hours. These disturbing incidents took place in a tight cluster of times and locations across the Roseland area. The robberies began on October 2, 2025, and extended through October 5, with two occurring on the same morning.
Detailing the offender’s description, the alert specifies an African American male, estimated to be between 16 and 22 years old.
