A 49-year-old Aurora man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his brutal stabbing of a man in 2023.
Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced Friday that Duka M. Smith has agreed to a sentence of 25 years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections in exchange for a guilty plea to the offense of Armed Violence, a Class X felony. Judge David Kliment accepted the plea.
