The Plainfield Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian on a skateboard and a passenger vehicle that occurred at 6:30am on Monday, October 6, 2025, north of the intersection of Heggs Road and 127th Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates a pedestrian on a skateboard traveled southbound on Heggs Road when a gray 2020 Nissan Rogue that traveled in the same direction struck the pedestrian.
