Cook County, IL – Traffic Stop: Driver Allegedly Found With Loaded Gun On I-94

Cook County, IL – A routine speeding stop on Interstate 94 early Sunday morning led to a gun charge for a North Chicago man, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that around 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 29, an officer pulled over a gray Chevrolet Equinox near the Old Orchard Road exit after observing it traveling at a high speed. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Timothy Dickson of North Chicago, allegedly had a suspended license.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Dickson was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm with an extended magazine. Officials said Dickson did not possess a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card or Concealed Carry License…
