Cook County, IL – Crime Report: Thefts, DUIs, and Criminal Damage; Police Log 7 Cases

Countryside, IL – Commuters and shoppers in Chicago’s southwest suburbs should be aware of a string of thefts and two DUI arrests reported this week in Countryside, according to a Friday update from police.

According to the Countryside Police Department, the report covers incidents from Wednesday, October 1, 2025, through Wednesday, October 8, 2025, including retail thefts, vehicle damage, and two DUI arrests tied to separate traffic incidents .

Police say a victim reported an electric bicycle stolen from a residence on Wednesday, October 1 (Wednesday). On Sunday, October 5 (Sunday), TJ Maxx at 5555 Brainard reported two thefts: one involving approximately $1,175.60 in merchandise and another in which a man allegedly removed a security device and left with jeans; the suspect reportedly fled in a red Honda Civic with a covered license plate.
