Illinois casinos generated $158.1 million in September, a 13.8% increase from the $139 million in September 2024, boosted by two new casinos and one moving onto land.
The latest report from the Illinois Gaming Commission showed that of the 17 casinos in the state, six saw year-over-year revenue increases. Hollywood Joliet Casino saw the most significant increase of 48%, with revenue rising from $7.6 million to $11.2 million after moving from its riverboat casino to a land-based casino in August.
Harrah’s Joliet Casino & Hotel saw a loss of 17.6% year-over-year, with revenue decreasing from $9.7 million to $8 million. The Hard Rock Casino Rockford also saw revenue decrease, falling by 13% from $13.7 million to $11.9 million…
