Bolingbrook Sisters Accused of Attacking Federal Immigration Agents During Father’s Attempted Arrest

A confrontation in Bolingbrook, Illinois, escalated when two federal immigration agents were reportedly attacked while attempting an arrest, as detailed in reports by ABC7 Chicago and NBC Chicago. The agents were confronted and struck in the head by two individuals, identified as sisters, during the attempted apprehension of a 46-year-old man, who the sisters say is their father, in a residential parking lot.

The incident unfolded on a Sunday morning when Bolingbrook police were called to the 100-block of Williamsburg Lane around 10 a.m. following reports of an assault. The man in question, and the two women who allegedly intervened, fled to a nearby home. The sisters claim their father, a resident in the U.S. for 30 years with no criminal record, was on the verge of entering their property, when the agents moved in. “He was obviously coming into the gate on our property, our house and next thing you know, the ICE agent was going after him, and that’s when the other was going after me,” one sister said, according to the interview by NBC Chicago.

The intervention by the sisters seemingly escalated into a scuffle, “All I remember was, obviously, I saw my dad on the floor and try to defend myself, and I tried to, obviously, go after him and defend him,” the daughter recounted to NBC Chicago. It was during this commotion that the agents were allegedly struck, but neither agent sought medical attention post incident. The narrative took a turn when one sister mentioned that, in the midst of the altercation, their father was tased multiple times by the agents. “They did tase him as well, three times. One on the leg. Not sure where the other one was. One on the neck,” she explained…
