Woodridge, IL – Residents in DuPage County are invited to attend a Human Trafficking Awareness Event this Tuesday, October 29 at 7 p.m. at Christ the Servant Catholic Church, 8700 Havens Drive, Woodridge. The free event is organized by the church’s Peace & Social Justice Committee in partnership with the Woodridge Police Department and Reclaim13, a local nonprofit focused on protecting vulnerable youth.
According to event organizers, the evening will focus on what human trafficking looks like in local communities and how residents can recognize and report signs of exploitation. Guest speakers include Ms. Jacqueline Saunders of Reclaim13 and Felicia Acosta, a licensed social worker with the Woodridge Police Department.
Topics will include the reality of human trafficking in the area, ways to identify victims, and how Reclaim13 supports survivors through healing and advocacy programs. Light refreshments will be served following the presentations…
