Naperville, IL – Teen drivers across Illinois are being reminded to make safety a priority this week as part of National Teen Driver Safety Week, which runs October 19–25, according to the Naperville Police Department.
Traffic crashes remain a leading cause of death for 15- to 20-year-olds, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that 2,611 people were killed in 2023 in crashes involving a teen driver, including 822 teen drivers themselves.
