ICE shuts down Catholic priests

Hundreds of Catholic clergy and parishioners were turned away by authorities after marching to an ICE detention center in Broadview, Illinois, in hopes of giving communion to detainees. The group, made up of priests, nuns and laypeople, began their march from Saint Eulalia Catholic Church in Maywood as part of a growing backlash to the Department of Homeland Security’s controversial Operation Midway Blitz immigration crackdown.
