Addison Man to Remain in Jail After Police Standoff and Shooting in Local Neighborhood

On October 30, 2025, a four-hour standoff took place in Addison, Illinois. Salvador Lozano, 45, was arrested and faces several felony charges. He is accused of shooting at police officers and hitting one in the back.

The incident started late Thursday morning. Addison police responded to a 911 call from Lozano, who made requests about his missing dogs. After a short conversation, officers left. They returned after a neighbor reported Lozano’s unusual behavior.
