DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. (WGN) – A family is hoping for answers after a couple was killed while walking early Friday evening near a busy intersection.
The crash happened at around 6 p.m. on Belmont Road, just west of the intersection with Maple Avenue. While most of the intersection itself is in Downers Grove, the spot where the crash happened is in unincorporated DuPage County.
A witness told WGN-TV the two victims, identified by family members as Marquisa Morris, 42, and Jermaine Morris, 44, were crossing Belmont Road to grab something from the store after placing an order at Dominoes, when they were struck by a driver in an SUV.
