Aurora Duo Charged with Multiple Felonies After Early Morning Burglary Spree Thwarted by Police

Two young men from Aurora are facing serious charges after an early morning burglary spree was thwarted by alert police officers, the Chicago Tribune reports. The suspects, both 18, were nabbed following the sound of alarms and the swift action of local law enforcement.

The incident occurred on Friday, around 2:13 a.m. when Aurora police were dispatched to South Eola Road despite the fact that the alarm company tried to cancel the call following protocol still, the police continued their approach, confirming that an investigation was necessary, as stated by Fox32 Chicago. There, officers noticed signs of forced entry and observed a vehicle leaving the scene, which they stopped and subsequently connected the occupants to the burglary through the recovery of evidence.
