Chicago Man Denied Pre-Trial Release After Drug Arrest at Naperville Train Depot

A Chicago man, Brock Okennard, 45, was denied pre-trial release after being charged with several felonies related to drug trafficking and resisting arrest in Naperville, Illinois. Judge Louis Aranda made the decision after a request from the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. Okennard is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, cocaine, and nearly 1,000 grams of cannabis. He is also charged with resisting a police officer causing injury during his arrest at the Naperville train depot.

The incident took place on November 8, 2025. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informed Naperville Police about a suspect involved in trafficking methamphetamine from California to Illinois. Okennard, who had two outstanding warrants, was identified as the suspect and was expected to arrive on an Amtrak train in Naperville. Police saw Okennard at the train station on 105 4th Avenue and tried to arrest him.

Authorities state that Okennard attempted to walk away and then ran when told about his warrants. A brief struggle followed. Okennard allegedly did not comply with officers’ commands and resisted arrest. Three officers received minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
