Chicago Weekend Violence: 2 Dead and 5 Injured in Multiple Shootings Across the City, Police Report

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A violent weekend unfolded across Chicago as two people were killed and five others injured in a series of shootings spanning from late Friday evening into Saturday afternoon. Victims ranged in age from 15 to 55, according to Chicago police.

First Fatal Shooting: Young Man Killed in Early-Morning Attack

The first shooting of the weekend was reported around 1:47 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Honore Street. Officers arrived to find a male between 18 and 25 years old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Police have not reported any arrests or suspects in connection with this shooting.

Less than two hours later, shortly before 3 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 4200 block of South Indiana Avenue
