On November 3, 2025, Oak Forest police responded to a report of alleged inappropriate contact with a minor at a BP gas station on 159th Street. Officers found 62-year-old Froylan Bahena-Vargas of Markham near dumpsters and arrested him.
After an investigation with Markham Police, Bahena-Vargas was charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He appeared in court at Bridgeview Courthouse on November 13 and was detained.
