Protestors gather outside Broadview immigration facility for weekly demonstration

BROADVIEW, Ill. (WGN) — Protestors gathered outside of a suburban immigration processing center on Friday morning, just a week after more than 20 people were arrested amid a clash with authorities.

Around 8 a.m., protestors began to gather in Broadview for the latest in a string of weekly demonstrations held on Fridays outside of the immigration processing center.

For weeks, protestors have gathered outside the facility as they call for an end to the ongoing immigration enforcement operation underway in Chicagoland, which the Trump Administration has dubbed “Operation Midway Blitz,” which has led to more than 3,000 arrests, two separate shootings and several legal disputes…
