The Chicago Police Department announced the arrest of 29-year-old Sergio Vargas, a resident of the 2100 block of N. Mango, Chicago, Illinois, on charges related to the homicide of a 27-year-old male earlier this year. In a case that has been followed closely by the community, Vargas now faces multiple felony counts, including first-degree murder, murder with a strong probability to cause death or injury, murder by another forcible felony, and mob action with the involvement of two or more persons.
