LYON COUNY (KSNT) – A semi-truck driver from Illinois is dead following a highway crash near Emporia earlier this week.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24 on the I-35 southbound entry ramp leading to I-335. A driver in a semi-truck was traveling south on I-35 approaching the interchange of I-35 and I-335 but took the curve too fast.
The driver left the road and hit three posts. The semi truck overturned and came to a stop in a nearby ditch.
