Quadajah Johnson, 31, of the 9200 block of W. Senate Drive in Des Plaines, Illinois, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 31-year-old woman. According to a press release by the Chicago Police Department, the arrest was made on December 3, 2025, following an investigation into the September 8 incident. Johnson is due to appear for a detention hearing on December 4, 2025, at the courthouse at 2600 S. California.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly fatally shot on September 8 earlier this year in the 0-100 block of W. Cermak Rd., a case that prompted an extensive manhunt for the perpetrator. Authorities claim to have finally closed in to arrest Johnson without further incident in the suburban neighborhood where she resides.
