Remaining Residents Of Raided South Shore Building Seek Extra Time To Move Out

SOUTH SHORE — Residents of the South Shore building raided by federal agents this fall are asking for more time to move out, while repeating their demands for assistance in doing so, after a judge ordered the building cleared by next week.

Cook County Circuit Judge Debra Seaton — who recently took control of 7500 S. South Shore Drive from its absentee landlord, Wisconsin-based investor Trinity Flood — on Nov. 24 ordered all occupants to leave the troubled building by Dec. 12.

Seaton’s latest order came four days after Wells Fargo, the bank that sued Flood and her companies in an attempt to foreclose on the property, requested the Dec. 12 deadline, according to court records…
