Cook County, IL – Two 27-year-old men were arrested early Wednesday after allegedly breaking into a freight train’s cargo container in Chicago, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. The incident happened around 4 a.m. near 59th Place and Stewart Avenue, where deputies were working alongside Norfolk Southern Railroad during a cargo-theft operation.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a railroad drone spotted two people breaking into a train’s shipping container. When officers approached, the pair allegedly ran. Drone operators provided real-time location updates, allowing deputies to take both men into custody a short time later…
