PALOS TOWNSHIP, Ill. A suburban Chicago man was charged with attempted murder in connection with the double stabbing of two people in their 70s last month in unincorporated Palos Township.

What we know:

Matthew Sokolowski, 34, allegedly stabbed a 72-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man around 9 a.m. on Nov. 24 in the 12000 block of South Newport Drive, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
