CHICAGO — A federal jury has found a Georgia man guilty of sending threatening letters to a suburban spiritual mission.
Jimil Parmar, a 33-year-old resident of Lawrenceville, Ga., was found guilty on Wednesday of mailing a threatening communication following a three-day trial, Andrew Boutros, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, announced Thursday.
According to prosecutors, in July of 2023, Parmar mailed a letter to the Sant Nirankari Mission in West Chicago, which stated, “CANCEL US CANADA TOUR IMMEDIATELY SRS ATTACK PLANNED.”…
