Voting On Redistricting Plainfield Schools To Take Place December 17th

A vote is scheduled to determine redistricting of the Plainfield school district.

Plainfield School district officials have emphasized that student attendance boundaries may have to be adjusted due to uneven enrollment growth; new housing developments increasing densities in some sections; changing demographics; aging facilities of buildings; and improved transportation efficiency.

Superintendent Dr. Glenn Wood told WJOL that the proposed redistricting will relocate 300 students from Plainfield North High School. 150 students will attend Plainfield East, and 150 students will attend Plainfield Central.
