Rev. Jackson out of hospital, in nursing home temporarily

Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. has been discharged from Northwestern Hospital and transferred to an acute nursing facility for continued care, according to his son, Attorney Yusef Jackson. Rev. Jackson was admitted on November 12 and released on Wednesday, December 10.

“He is quite ill and fighting a terminal illness,” Attorney Jackson told the Chicago Crusader. Rev. Jackson, who has been hospitalized multiple times over the years—including several stays related to COVID-19—is currently in stable condition. He is battling progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a neurological disorder.
